OVERVIEW
Heavenly Home & Green Retreat – a charitable, not for profit organization which provides beautiful scenery and tranquility – a place for spiritual, intellectual, emotional and physical renewal and development. Through the enjoyment of nature, it will deepen participant’s relationship with the creator. By revealing the purpose and the heart of God’s design, the Retreat will inspire people to live according to God’s plan and the fullness of life.
Vision & Mission
Ecology Centre
Will be used to show the amazing creations of God. It includes two parts, the animal part and plant part. The animal part will include vertebrates (including small mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, etc.) and invertebrates (bees, Butterfly) or their specimens. A plant part mainly includes a large collection of native and exotic plants, which will be coordinated with around pastures, forests and meadows.
Organic Garden
An organic garden area including vegetables and fruit trees will be created to help visitors know the local healthy food choices and how to apply them in their daily living. Our intention is to educate visitors how to transform their living space into “green homes” and their front and back yards into organic, dynamic and thriving gardens.
Recreation
Trails, creeks, camp sites and hilly terrain will enable people to enjoy nature and strengthen their physical and emotional health. The Retreat is located on 80 acres of lush fields surrounded by maple and fir trees that offer breathtaking views through all the seasons. The Skootamatta River flowing through the site provides a vivid channel for wild life and fishing activities. The rolling landscapes make the resort interesting and challenging for hiking and biking. A playground will be formed for the children.
Spiritual Renewal
Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. We will regularly (especially weekends & statutory holidays) hold gospel fellowship and camps; invite Christian leaders, mature ones in Christ to teach the Word of God, conduct trainings, conferences and fellowships for building up the Body of Christ. Christians will invite their friends to share their joy of salvation, pray for their practical needs and help them to receive Christ who is the Lord of lords and King of kings.
